Norwegian heat/power plants choose Nordifa

After the usual public procurement process, Klemetsrudsanlegget AS – Norway’s largest combined heat and power station, which is owned by the City of Oslo – chose Nordifa as a supplier of 1450 filter bags for its flue gas filter. The material in the filter bags has been tailored for the particular operating conditions encountered in waste incineration.

Klemetsrudsanlegget AS has an incineration capacity of 350,000 tonnes per year, which is equivalent to 40 tonnes per hour. Last year, the plant generated 125 GWh of electricity and 830 GWh of district heating.

Sarpsborg Avfallsenergi AS has taken precisely the same decision as the City of Oslo, i.e. selecting Nordifa as supplier of a complete range of temperature-resistant filter bags for its flue gas filter. Sarpsborg also uses industrial and domestic waste as its primary fuel.

The Sarpsborg plant handles around 80,000 tonnes of waste per year, generating 230 GWh of energy in the form of industrial steam which is supplied to the nearby Borregaard processing facility.
